4-H Group Beautifies Fair Grounds

The Waseca County Fair grounds have never looked so good. Thanks, in part, to a grant from The City of Waseca Beautification Fund. This fund was established by James B. Corchran and Maria E. Corchran in memory of their sons James B. Corchran, Jr. and George Ulrich.

The purpose of the fund is to provide dollars for planting and landscaping projects in the city of Waseca forever.

The Bells of St. Mary’s 4-H Club received a grant for $1500 from the City of Waseca Beautification Fund. As stated in the application, “ We feel by dressing up the fairgrounds with flowers, and shade trees, this will make the fairgrounds a more pleasant place to hold other events during the rest of the year.”

The club members and leaders provided the labor to carry out the plan. The fair board provided the space for the project. And, the Waseca Garden Club provided technical advice and instruction for the club members and leaders.

Thank you Bells of St. Mary for taking the initiative to spruce up our community.
