2002 Annual Report Preface

The Waseca Area Foundation to help donors give back to the community a portion of what the community has given them.

The Waseca Area Foundation now has 22 funds in its family of funds. Some of these funds are named to honor or memorialize individuals, businesses, and high school classes. Other funds are attached to non-profit organizations.

In 2002, the family of funds received $102,948 in contributions. The Foundation's board-managed 19 grants totaled nearly $26,116. The Foundation's grant committee also worked with NorAm Minnegasco Foundation (formerly the E. F. Johnson Foundation) to award 26 grants totaling $111,540.

We deeply appreciate the confidence and trust our contributors have given us. We will continue to attract, develop, and distribute funds for charitable purposes to enhance community philanthropy, which in turn will promote a strong, healthy Waseca area well into the future.
